Our Maison d´Hôtes

Located in the heart of the "new" Essaouira, the Maison d'Hôtes Al Bouhaira Abyad – the White Lagoon – combines both modern and traditional Moroccan elements in its design. Completed in 2025, this guesthouse is the result of a collaboration between the French-German owner couple, a Moroccan architect, and skilled Moroccan craftsmen, creating a unique atmosphere.

Our neighborhood, Al Bouhaira, is also special. Right next to the house lies "Mokaf," the place in Essaouira where builders and craftsmen meet to arrange their work. Many traditional artisan workshops are also nearby. In the evenings, until late at night, families with children stroll the streets, enjoying quality time together.

From Al Bouhaira, you can quickly reach all parts of the city. Both the locally known "Assafi Beach", perfect for long walks, and the vibrant Sunday "Souk", filled with endless colorful vendors, are just a stone's throw away.

The lively Medina (old town) and the beach are also just a short distance away. A walk to the beach takes about 20 minutes, while a quick ride with the small, inexpensive taxis gets you there in just 5 minutes. The historic Medina of Essaouira can be reached in 15 minutes on foot or in 3 minutes by taxi (cost per ride approximately 0.80 euros).

After an eventful day, you can relax on the rooftop terrace of the Maison d'Hôtes and enjoy a breathtaking view over the entire city—the perfect spot to witness spectacular sunsets over the rooftops of Essaouira.

Playing golf in Essaouira

A key element in our decision to choose Essaouira was the unique golf course, which immediately captivated not only us but also our non-golfing friends.

From booking tee times to the first drive, we are happy to take care of all the formalities for you, so you can fully enjoy your round of golf in a relaxed manner (see Golf Package).

Eurythmy

Anyone who wishes can participate in morning eurythmy from 9:00 to 9:30 a.m.

Eurythmy is a gentle rhythmic movement art. Anyone of any age can participate.

Eurythmy is a movement that makes speech visible. With every spoken consonant and vowel, an individual movement occurs in the larynx. This movement is made visible through the body. Furthermore, certain postures involve the mind.

Eurythmy has a beneficial effect. The body relaxes, the spine straightens, and concentration is promoted.

A playful little exercise is eurythming one's own first name. The person discovers the qualities of their first name.

For stays of several days, we offer individual eurythmy (at no extra charge).
