The Maison d'Hôtes Al Bouhaira Abyad – "The White Lagoon" – is centrally located in the heart of Essaouira.

Free parking is available directly at the hotel for guests arriving by car or motorbike and you stay connected with free, fast Wi-Fi. All rooms are easily accessible by elevator.

From Al Bouhaira, you can explore all parts of the city in a short distance: The medina (old town) is a 15-minute walk or a 3-minute taxi ride (approximately €0.80 per ride) away. A walk to the beach takes about 20 minutes, and a taxi ride takes less than 5 minutes. In just 10 minutes by car you can reach the golf course "Golf de Mogador".

Not far away, you can also find some bargains in the maze of Moroccan vendors at the Sunday souk. A few meters further on, Assafi Beach begins, with its still pristine character. A stroll along the beach lets you experience the full force of the Atlantic.

After a busy day, you can relax on the guest house's rooftop terrace and enjoy breathtaking views of the entire city—the perfect place to admire spectacular sunsets over the rooftops of Essaouira.

A key element in our decision to choose Essaouira was the unique golf course, which immediately captivated not only us but also our non-golfing friends. We were also encouraged in our decision by the very consistent weather. Even in winter you can play in short polo sleeves. Thanks to its location on the Atlantic coast, there's always a gentle breeze in summer.

Even on our first visit, we were captivated by the city's appeal. We immediately sensed Essaouira's ancient history (see Wikipedia), which is also reflected in the openness and friendliness of its people.

In Essaouira, time doesn't matter; the Berber soul is still alive here. The city is always in motion and yet, as the Moroccans say, "tranquille," or relaxed. Another factor in our decision was the light in Essaouira.
